5 Risky Parking Spots to Avoid During Storms

5 Risky Parking Spots to Avoid During Storms

  1. Advertisement Signs and Billboards: It’s hard to predict the durability of small to large-sized advertisement signs during strong winds. Debris from these signs might fall onto or damage parked vehicles.
  2. Under Trees: Branches can break and fall onto parked cars during storms, causing dents, cracked windows, or even complete tree falls onto vehicles.
  3. Electrical Poles: Strong winds and heavy rain during storms can damage power lines, leading to electrical hazards for parked cars nearby.
  4. Construction Sites: If strong winds occur, construction materials may collapse onto parked cars in the vicinity.
  5. Low-Lying Areas: Parking near or above drainage pipes in low-lying areas might result in flooding during heavy rainfall, potentially damaging parked vehicles. It’s advisable to park on higher ground or elevated spots.
