4 Ways to Care for Your Car After Flooding!

4 Ways to Care for Your Car After Flooding! For safety and to prevent post-flooding issues:

  1. Check the Engine Don’t rush to start the car. Let it sit for about 20 minutes to allow the engine to cool down and evaporate any water that may have entered the engine compartment. Check for any abnormalities in the engine.
  2. Inspect the Brake System Avoid accelerating immediately. Instead, press the brakes frequently to dry out the brake pads and prevent them from slipping. For manual transmission, engage the clutch to prevent it from slipping.
  3. Inspect the Interior Open rubber mats or floor liners to check for dampness or water seepage. If there are water stains or damp areas, remove carpets and other interior liners, wash and clean them thoroughly, and dry them completely to prevent mold growth and unpleasant odors.
  4. Check Various Vehicle Systems Inspect all electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
