Parking incorrectly resulting in wheel lock. What should you do if your car is wheel-locked?

Traffic police will lock the wheel of the violator for the following offenses: parking in a no-parking zone, obstructing traffic, or other traffic violations. Whether intentional or unintentional, the police will proceed with legal action. First, check the fine notice for the violation details, fine rates, and the police station in the area where the offense occurred. The minimum fine is 500 baht for urban areas, while wheel-locking in urban areas incurs a minimum fine of 700 baht. Parking in prohibited areas results in a fine of no more than 1,000 baht (prices subject to officer’s discretion). Then, pay the fine at the police station listed on the fine notice. A staff member will then unlock the wheel.
